Her first EP release, "Triptych," came out in 2022, where she focused on climate change, the pandemic, and the growing wealth gap. Her ability to combine her love of music and passion for raising awareness on urgent concerns shines through in a talented way in all that she makes.

TCAN Live Review | Before the Show

Jodi was very welcoming before the show, and I enjoyed meeting her. My first impression was that she did care. She cared about what I thought about the venue and how welcoming the people around me were. I instantly knew tonight was going to be intimate as well as an exciting show.

I was also taking photos for the show, and she graciously ensured I had enough room to move around the venue. New to concert photography, I had those butterflies, and Jodi eased them with how welcoming she was.

I arrived just before the sound check ended, so I only have a little to say about this part of my experience. But I still enjoyed myself before the show.

TCAN Live Review | The Show

The show was great, as well as very intimate and engaging. The topics Jodi touched on were unlike any I have heard other musicians connect on. She talked about mental health, self-esteem, and other issues that can be sensitive to talk about for some. That being said, I want Jodi to continue to push those talking points.

At times, she did a great job at easing into these topics. Other times, her vocals were blunt and straight to the point. I prefer her to explore a mix of these elements. I want her to be straightforward about the topic with her lyrics and gently present them.

Her performance was primarily with the piano, and I would love to hear more from the harmonium and harp. The harp has such a beautiful sound that compliments her vocals, and the harmonium's uniqueness should set her apart in the music industry

TCAN Live Review | After the Show

Jodi met with me briefly after the show, and she was exactly what kind of person I thought she'd be like, a kind and genuine person. It was a pleasure to meet such a passionate and good-hearted human being. I can't say anything wrong about the type of person Jodi is.

I wish I had more time to pick her brain and talk to her about her music, and I plan to do that soon.

TCAN Live Review | Overall

Jodi is a solid performer and human being; her passion for her music shines through everything she does. I encourage her to continue striving for nothing but the best that she can offer.

I am excited to see Jodi perform more local shows and am interested in how far her music will bring her. If you still need to meet or talk to Jodi, I encourage you to. If you enjoy passionate music, Jodi's music is also for you.

Thank You Notes

I want to thank Jodi Heights for having me come to this great show at The Center of Arts in Natick, a venue no more than 15 minutes from my house. The show was gracious and very welcoming, and the performance was personable. One of the better shows I have attended!
